The Charleston Trident Association of Realtors was named Chris Fraser 2008 Commercial Realtor of the Year. Fraser is head of the commercial sales team for The Cigar Factory.
Fraser co-founded the commercial firm, Grubb & Ellis Barkley Fraser, and has held his broker’s license since 1985 and designation as a certified commercial investment member since 1989. He currently serves as the firm’s president and managing principal.
According to the Charleston Region Business Journal, “In the past 10 years, Fraser has developed more than $100 million in office, hospitality and sports facilities, and he has leased hundreds of thousands of square feet of office space.
‘Chris received multiple enthusiastic nominations from our membership,’ said Chris Cunniffe, Commercial Investment Division president for the Realtors association. ‘Considering his broad experience in commercial real estate, his many years of service to our association and his example of leadership in numerous public service roles, he was the natural choice to be our 2008 commercial realtor of the year.’
Fraser is involved in the community as well as the real estate industry. Last year, he was elected to the Charleston County School Board for the West Ashley seat, and he has served as chairman of the S.C. Housing Authority and the Education Foundation.”
