The windows are coming out to make room for the new, hurricane proof Pella windows. New windows are composed of three layers of glass and one layer of acrylic with a true divided light design (each section is an individual pane of glass). The Cigar Factory’s restoration goal is to replicate the building’s original design and beauty, and this can be seen in the replacement windows which follow the 9 over 9 historic design.
